Sewing sewing sewing!

I have been sewing lots, making a bag

and a sewing set,

which I hope to sell on Etsy.  I have a couple of quilts on the go too, one is a Project Linus

challenge quilt, which I managed to layer up yesterday and the other is a secret for now, a present for a friend. I will post pictures of both (when finished and no longer secret) soon!

Grand Illusion blocks

No sewing yesterday, it was a long day at work, but I was busy planning and plotting things to make.  

Today I have been putting together the Grand Illusion blocks, from Bonnie Hunters mystery quilt.

Oh dear, no matter how carefully I pin, I still got it wrong!  

That's better! One completed block, just the sashing to add.  I have been cutting more pieces for the mystery and making a bag, chain piecing bag and quilt together.  I am hoping to sell the bag on Etsy. I need to get some labels!

This is my new blog, I will be sharing the things I am making. 

I have been following Bonnie Hunters annual mystery quilt throughout December http://www.quiltville.blogspot.co.uk/ and today she revealed the final layout. 

These are my blocks so far, I still have to make some yellow and turquoise 4 patches for the centre and cut some turquoise cornerstones for the sashing. I am not making the whole Grand Illusion quilt (it is big), this will be part of a group effort for the local Knit and Stitch group and a Linus Project quilt http://www.linusleics.blogspot.co.uk/
